In mid-August, the black-eyed Susan and purple cone flowers reach their peak around here. It is a perfect time to take a nature walk and look at all the wildflowers.
While we are walking through the flower fields, we like to make daisy chain flower crowns.
All you do is:
1. Gather flowers.
2. Pierce the stem of the first flower with your nail so that you can fit a flower through the hole.
3. Pierce the stem of the second flower and put a third bloom through the hole. Continue until the chain is the length you want.
4. Pierce the last stem and put the first bloom through the hole.
Here is a video tutorial (and I am in my third trimester of pregnancy so please be nice):
These are very easy to make and are a perfect prop for pretend play during a nature walk!
We love to make daisy chains. I have shared this on my Magical Things Fairy Day Roundup post.
